For my ‘other’ it would be L'Orchestre Sympathique. From the list I voted Sloche because I love them and they were without a vote, though my head says Maneige were the greatest / most original among those named.

Sad to see brilliant bands like Opus 5 and Conventum voteless too. It was such a rich scene! We owe a great debt of gratitude to ProgQuebec for making so much of this stuff available, I feel.

L'Orchestre Sympathique is fantastic!

I was thinking about not voting other, and would have voted for Sloche too. I love J'un oeil especially, and love the others you mentioned. The Québec music scene is incroyable.
Yeah, I’m very fond of both the Sloche albums, and if I listen to one I’ll usually spin the other right after, but I do think J’un oeil is a nose ahead. It’s the musical equivalent of an ice cream sundae with extra chocolate and hot fudge sauce as far as I’m concerned.
Soldato of the Pan Head Mafia. We'll make you an offer you can't listen to.

TBH, none of these are among my faves.  I would pick Garolou if they were there, but they are franco ontarian.  Oh then there's Cano - oops also Franco ontarian.  From this list, MANEIGE!

Speaking of Harmonium
A very nice tribute for Harmonium last night.

"Each year, some sixty Félix trophies come to devote the talent and excellence of artists, producers and professionals of the record industry, the show and the video. Discover a little more about this great festival of Quebec music"

J'adore prog Québécois!
Harmonium has been a long-time fave, but I'm going with Sloche, who I've been obsessed with recently.
The damage that we do is just so powerfully strong we call it love

The damage that we do just goes on and on and on but not long enough.

The Maelstrom album is also a stunner

Maneige, followed closely by Harmonium, then Pollen, then it's hard to pick.

Sloche and Opus are great
Maneige overrated
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Harmonian seemed like bland folk from the stuff I’ve heard so far. Opus 5 may have the greatest album from Quebec I think

Out of these it's Sloche, but I would have voted for Rouge Ciel if they were an option.
