While Venus & Mars has some good material on it, I must vote for the George Harrison album. Steve Winwood's guest appearance and the single "Blow Away" absolutely make that album one of his most memorable.

Rock & Roll - Lennon just doing what he wanted to do and record all the songs that had inspired him. Despite the well documented difficulties in recording and compiling the album it is sublime - essentially John enjoying singing his heart out - whichever of the various versions you have.
