Originally I was going to make this 35 minutes up and include Boris performing flood (live) but then thought I would rather stick to 40 minute plus ones and do another poll later of 30 minute plus releases.

I love all three that I mentioned. I adore that Fishmans and yet still it would be so hard for me to not choose The Necks, and the Swans is terrific for my tastes, and I make no bones about my love for Swans. Each is masterful for me.

Yes, it's the live version I've heard only once (well, the same goes for the studio version, but I think it's the live one featured in the poll I will return to)

^ Thanks, I can understand you think that I meant it was fine in different parts. I should have been specific in the opening post that I meant that it was released on an album as one track. Or just asked people to specify. Interesting regardless, and this has the advantage of more variety so I could say that it makes for better topic anyway including more than just those released on an album as a 40 minutes or over single track.

I like Drew's list, but that's the same issue I see with ones there.

I meant for the 90s until now. I opted not to go for earlier as while I know of others earlier, so many were split into A and B sides on albums rather than released as full tracks (A limitation of records and commonly sold cassettes).

Happy to hear about both kinds from people, but hopefully if there are more mentions, people will specify if it is released in separate parts or as one track (I was totally unclear on that). I wrote this topic much better some days ago, but then decided not to post it and this was a quick rewrite.

Another issue too is when is a title a song or piece and more a collection of pieces? Some times a band will release an album with all the tracks named the same, or one track named the same, but it is clearly not just one piece. Maybe that's easy, it should sound like it should all clearly go together as one work even if it's a suite and might seem odd not to hear all of the bits in full.
