Sydney, Australia – Progressive rock/metal project WAVES WITHOUT SOUND , led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Philip Brown , is set to release its debut full-length album, ESCAPE , on June 3, 2025 . Preceding the album, the project's next single, the 13-minute progressive metal epic "BOND" , will be released on April 8, 2025 .

Blending elements of ethereal rock, technical progressive metal, acoustic folk, and extreme metal, WAVES WITHOUT SOUND delivers a sound both dynamic and immersive. Drawing influence from Opeth, Dream Theater, Alcest, and Gentle Giant , Brown crafts intricate compositions that shift between atmospheric serenity and crushing intensity.

At the heart of ESCAPE lies themes of isolation, self-discovery, and the ocean’s raw power —a constant source of inspiration for Brown. The album features five expansive tracks spanning 44 minutes , showcasing complex instrumental passages, dynamic shifts, and an emotional depth that captures the spirit of progressive music.

ESCAPE was mixed by Kevin Shirley ( Dream Theater, Iron Maiden ) and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima ( Ayreon, Devin Townsend ). Philip Brown handled vocals, guitars, and keyboards, while drums were performed by renowned Australian drummer Robin Stone .

Following the success of the project's first single, LOST (released in 2024 with an accompanying music video), "BOND" will serve as the second preview of ESCAPE . This 13-minute odyssey explores WAVES WITHOUT SOUND’s full range of sonic textures—melding progressive complexity with deep emotional storytelling.
