In your opinion what are six words (or less) you might use to describe prog. These words don't always have to apply to prog but they can. Here's my list:

1. Unconventional
2. Adventurous
3. Mesmerizing
4. Complex
5. Sophisticated
6. Epic

Well, if you don't want to participate you don't have to. This was supposed to be just for fun and not to be taken too seriously. However, the supercalifragil thing might be stretching the boundaries of not taking it too seriously.

Well it is a word and the definition is... The word is a compound word, formed by combining elements that suggest something above beauty, delicacy, and atonement. Its meaning is often described as something wonderful, fantastic, or extraordinary. It's not a word with a precise definition in the way that many everyday words are, but it's understood to convey a sense of joy and excitement.

And isn't that a word that describes prog?

I guess but the only prog album you can get from it is Fragile.

I agree but the problem is pretentious and indulgent are often used as insults (at least by the critics).

adventerous, complex, sophisticated, eclectic and ambitious

Then I'd say, "virtuosic" is also a good characteristic.

Non-commercial.

This was how I thought about the music I listened to before I was aware of the term "progressive rock" or "art rock".

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Finally hard evidence that you are indeed from California.
