On 70's was two zones with a great prog groups: Andalucía and Catalunya (Catalonia).
From Andalucía the great group was Triana with two great albums: "El patio" (1975) and "Hijos del agobio" (1978). Other bands was Alameda, Guadalquivir, Mezquita, Caí,...
From Catalonia a great number of bands appear on Barcelona (near Via Laietana street):
- Companyia Electrica Dharma: jazz rock with a catalonian folk touch. "L'ou com balla" (1976)
- Gotic: like Camel: "Escenes" (1978) with great song "Història d'una gota d'aigua"
- Atila: near heavy with album "Reviure" (1978)
- Secta Sónica: jazz rock with andalusian and rumba touches "Astroferia" (1977)
- Jaume Sisa: fool and magic songwriter "Qualsevol nit pot sortir el sol" (1975)

On 2000's a great album AppleSmellColour "Unscrupulouness" (2015).

Prove it?

My favorites?
Itoiz
Amoeba Split
Juan Martin
Kotebel

I know very little about 70s Spanish prog, so I named a few more recent Spaniards.

El Hijo de Alba is an album more listeners ought to seek out.

Surely not to forget the Basque Country, and Lisker.
