These are my favorite artists from Italy active in progressive music in the 1970s; which is your pick as favorite? If your preference is not listed, there is an Other option....

My favorite is the one album wonder from 1973-Triade. Their album "1998: La Storia Di Sabazio" has it all; great technique with a keys dominant sound, lots of emotion, and beautiful vocals....Triade are very endearing to me....

It seems like Banco.

For the ones featured in the poll: in quantity it would be Le Orme. Four great albums - 2nd to 5th - and some great material spread out on later albums. But PFM's two first are two of my favorite RPI albums (their third is also great). Banco's three first are also great.

I think PFM in the poll. Area and Arti e Mestieri would probaly conclude my top five RPI-favorites.

+Dedalus' debut is amazing, but their second album is rather useless. I don't nessecarily have a problem with Experimental/Avant-Garde, but I find these experiments directionless and completely uninteresting.

Museo Rosenbach sit at number 5 in the ProgArchives list, so I was a little surprised not to see them in the poll. Area, Il Balletto Di Bronzo and Maxophone also feature in the top ten but aren't here.
From your list I go for Latte e Miele.
The Italians certainly know how to prog!

Banco & Area. Banco are on the list so grab my vote.
