Tarkus at 42!? I hope that doesn't mean Symphonic will dominate the next 20 polls without anybody else getting close...

Anyway, I love Tarkus but will vote for Tim Hecker. Wonderful album! Will I be the only one?

Tarkus. A good poll would be, perhaps it was already taken here, Tarkus vs Brain Salad Surgery. I'd go with BSS.

Always good to see some new names on lists and I haven't heard the Blood Ceremony or 3rd Degree records.

Well put, I'm not going to argue against that ELP record, despite not being a big fan.

When I saw the Threshold vote I just assumed that was Cristi. He did vote that later on. Thanks Jared. That was one of my favourite Threshold records back then.

Nice list! That Ikarus CD was a welcomed surprise. The three above it on your list are long time favourites as well.

I know Amoeba Split's Dance of the Goodbyes, Haikara's self-titled, Wayne Shorter's Speak No Evil, La Dusseldorf's self-titled, ELP's Tarkus, Miriodor's Recontres and Reale Accademia di Musica's self-titled. The two of those that most excite me these days are Haikara and Le Dussledorf and I'm going with Haikara. I think it's a fantastic album.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Even if half of the album can be skipped, Tarkus has a masterpiece side.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Okay, 15 albums from 15 different sub genres all ending up at number 42 in their respective subs with a search that was done here.
One vote.

Like YES in the last poll I think ELP could dominate. My top three would include albums by Iona, Miriodor and Reale Accademia Di Musica. Voting for Miriodor.
