Fresca!! I'm sure I have not seen that in the UK since the 70's, along with Tab. Can you still get Fresca in the UK??

What's Fresca? We don't get mountain dew over here  I loved that stuff but apparently it was really unpopular so they stopped selling it

Fresca is a citrus carbonated beverage that is most reminiscent of grapefruit. Most folks that I know don't drink it because they think it has a weird after-taste. You might have to just try it. If you can't find any actually called "Fresca" there is something else called "Squirt" that is essentially the same, just a different brand.

I have a rule: if it's a remarkable whiskey, I only pour ice on it. If is a standard, I don't mind to mix it with soda...

Well, when you live in a tropical country, with temperatures above 30º centigrades, it's hard to drink plain whiskey.
