There's nothing to be ashamed of. I've been a fan of theirs for awhile. I think they are pretty progressive (especially with Zaireeka).

Midnight Oil were great! Diesel And Dust and Blue Sky Mining in particular. They broke up, didn't they?
Your picture, is that the Afro Celt Sound System?

I'm not sure if Midnight Oil has offcially broken up or if they're just
taking some time off. And yes, those are the Afro Celts.

Actually..look. I don't know enough metal (my other favorite genre) to
make a concrete list. If I made one it would only change every day.
Here's some bands I do like.
-Metallica
-Dimmu Borgir
-Strapping Young Lad
-Nightwish
-System of a Down
-Kamelot
-Helloween
-Evergrey
-Sepultura
-Iron Maiden
-Judas Priest
-Nevermore
-Meshuggah
Put that in whatever order you like. I'll get back to ya in a couple of months when that list is concrete.

to sonic wizard and Cygnux X-2:
both of you are automatically at the top of my most respected forum members list because you like the Lips. I have all of their albums except the first 3 (they're hard to find) but i like them more than 99% of all other music (including prog). I can't wait for their new album. but anyway, my list:
1. Van Halen (the other 1%)
2. The Flaming Lips (of course)
3. U2
4. Led Zeppelin
5. either Incubus or Oasis (their new album "Don't Believe the Truth" is amazing)
