Without using a poll, a very simple question: who's your favourite woman in prog - or prog related?
As you'll surely understand from the subject line, mine is KATE BUSH!
PLEASE KATE: COME TO ITALY!!!!

I have been a Kate Bush fan for over 20 years, and the release of "Aerial" was one of the best surprises of the past few years. If you are interested, you can read my reviews of Kate's albums from "NeverForEver" onwards.

I agree with you, the real new-romantic sound (of course, far, far better than Spandau Ballet and any other post-Adam-and-the-Ant freak). "Delius", "Blow away" and "Violin" are masterstrokes

Yeah, Kate Bush and grace Slick are awesome, but my favourite is still Annie Haslam, and will always be.

I don't think I have a favourite female vocalist. There aren't that many to choose from out of the prog or prog related genres.

If I had to choose though, assuming that Fairport Convention are prog related, then I would probably go for Sandy Denny.

Renate Knaup is indeed a brilliant and intriguing vocalist!

I like both Kate Bush and Renate Knaup. Annie Haslam ain't bad either. I also have to mention Marcela Bovio and guitarist Lori Linstruth of Ayreon/Stream of Passion.

Diamanda Galas. She's absolutely untouchable by anyone in progressive music - male or female.

My favourites are Kate Bush, Annie Haslam, Sarah Trondall, Marcela Bovio, the girls of Ars Nova (specially Keiko Kumagai) and of course Arlette Jecquier (Fulano and Mediabanda vocalist)... All of them women with amazing talent!!!... And soon you will have the privilege to hear the voices of Pilar and Barbara, vocalists of a chilean prog band called RU Kaiser who releases their first album on may...

Besides prog I really enjoy the work of Diamanda Galas, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey... Really good stuff...
