mye top 5 are as follows
and you and I
machine messiah
roundabout
gates of dilerium
Close to the Edge
spiritiual journey, through spherical, and celestial music, like an Sci-fi version of British folklore
totaly unique sound, song construction, understanding of sonic quality.
brings rock into dimensions not known to a mere mortals.
songs like and You and I make me want to crye, when the midle part enters, GOOSEBUMPS, and trouble to breath evenly
what the Virtoustic quintet did from 1971-75 to rock music is on a different planet, and is untuchable un share scope (not quality but as a total package.

I totally agree and I would like to add: - the humour they showed on the Yes Acoustic DVD - excellent live performances - the influence of (late) romanticism from Brahms to Stravinsky that can be heard in their music

About the other tasks, I couldn't express it better than has already been done by Richardh and Aginor.
I'd like to add a remark of Blacksword:
1) The musical equivalent of the sun breaking through the clouds
and add one of myself:
- The closest connection between the human musical experience and the divine...
