VOTE NOW!! What is your favorite Pink Floyd cover that is designed by Hipgnosis? I think Dark Side of The Moon is the best! What's your opinion? |

Just the fact that so many of the covers have gotten more than one vote speaks volumes for the work of Storm/Hipgnosis.
I picked Animals, by the way. For years, I thought it was a painting. It wasn't until reading Nicolas Schaffner's book about the Floyd that I learned it is actually a photograph. It looks so surreal in the lighting; it's incredible! |

Wish you were here. Normally Hipgnosis' covers are just fun to watch, no more. But the Wish You Were Here cover is so powerful! The handshake with the businessman, and the other person doesn't know he shakes hands with some sort of Judas. A kiss of Judas, but then with hands. And the backside, the businessman with the empty face. Amazing! |

Animals. WYWH is close in second. But my all time favorite floyd cover would be The Divison Bell.

I like Meddle a lot! So I've heard, it's some kind of microscopic shot taken inside Roger Waters' nose... anybody knows the real story about that?

Landberdokten: If you look again at the cover, you'll see in fact that it's an ear! Ben2112: Yes it is a photograph of Battersea power station ( now Tate Modern) but the pig is painted. |

Storm/Hipgnosis didn't design it, or The Wall either. If I remember correctly, Roger's brother or brother-in-law designed The Final Cut's art. |
