Amon Duul (1 & 2) really helped motivate me to put SPACE PIRATE RADIO on the air in 1973. I wanted these cats & kittens heard on "commercial" radio. Every legitimate album has something of high merit. When the show debuted on January 27th, 1974 on KTYD Santa Barbara, California, VIVE LA TRANCE was coming out in stores the following Tuesday. The station had two promo copies they weren't interested in, so they found an on-air home and a joyous debut. I agree with Moshkito as well as Lewian (NADA MOONSHINE # is a SUPERB work). I also played on later shows VORTEX w/ "Holy West" being a favourite.
Some of the most experimental SPR programs had the soundtrack from DANCE OF THE LEMMINGS incorporated. For the voting purposes of this list, I chose YETI.
Cheers, everyone.
