edit: just noticed, 3 ELP in the top 20. Thumbs Up

But there is a ton of good stuff listed, to be sure.

Hi guys. It was Grendel. Not the standard version though. It was that Fair Deal 19 minutes long version. I was into discussion and other things and didn't notice. Thanx for help.

Your description match that of Grendrl but the insistence that it wasn't Marillion canceled that thought. I have heard the Fair Trade version and I think it's recognizable as Grendel by Marillion. Your friend must have a cheap phone.

It's not an album song and when I listen to Marillion I listen to studio albums. I heard Grendel many years ago but didn't remember a single note. You know what I mean? Of course the vocals, that's Fish but at first I didn't notice. The music was in the background, not too loud. I like Marillion's first 6 studio albums. Brave and Radiation are also pretty cool. Other than that, forget about Marillion. She likes Ocean Clouds a lot, she played that one too. But it's not my Marillion. Now that Grendel 19 minutes long version is my favorite Marillion track. Life.
