I am slowly warming to Adrian Belews vocals (it's taken about 15 years all told since I first whinced when I heard him sing ) so Power has just nosed ahead of Red for me.

I got Red a few months ago. Had you asked me then, I would have gone with that, because it's their most emotional album. But upon repeated listenings, it seems somehow less "together" than my other favourites from Crimson, Lizard and Larks. I guess I'll go with Larks because the vocals are better than on Lizard, but it's a hard choice really.

Bravo, WOBBLER !!! you are right: such a magnificent recording; sure you have to be in the mood to listen to it, but that's wonderful
I am surprised all the time by the bad rap this album is getting

In the Court, followed by Islands and then Lizard. Yes, the first period was my favourite ( and the only one I care ).

The first album, obviously. "Red" it's a valid alternative, anyway.

If you didn't vote for larks' tongues, you're crazy! It's the most experimental album they ever did! My favourite album of all time. In the court is a very, very close second.

I have to disagree with the majority and go with The Power to Believe. IDK why I just enjoyed that album the most.

Red, by far. It's an absolute masterpiece, and of my top 15 albums of all time.

In The Court. Certainly the best to listen to. It has the best songs of their career.

Oh, I gotta vote in this one.
For me "Larks' Tongues." I choose it over Red, just barely, due to Jamie Muir's contribution. His work on that lp gave that music another fantastic dimension that no other Crimson lp surpassed.
