For those who have asked if they've worked together, Fripp has appeared with Wilson's ambient project Bass Communion. |

Greetings all (as my first official post) and hopefully I can contribute some wonderous materials to this realm of music. Anyway, hightea, I shall be at that PT show; and, much to my chagrin, am saddened by Robert Fripp's in absentia hehe BUT, according to a recent diary entry there was something he said about him coming to NYC to do another solo soundscape performance. Should be promising...if the old "venal toad" comes through...we all know his performance woes. |

This is a forum. We all express opinions here. If I was a mod on this forum, I'd take you to the side and teach you not to use killer phrases like 'this is bad music' and 'that is good music'. Being a long time member and collaborator for the site doesn't make you an institution that utters incontrovertible facts from time to time. PS: I would have written this just as well if I didn't like Procupine Tree PPS: Em.... am I missing the point? Was your post meant as irony? Forgive me. English is not my mother tongue. |

Joren doesnt know what he's saying half the time.He posts as if his keyboard is floating upside down in the clouds surrounding Jupiter, where he is riding a large bottle of Absinthe propelled by the biggest spliff you've ever seen. |

You may also add No-Man's Flowermouth, which is a very decent album. Regarding Bass Communion, Drugged (the second one) is a awesome piece of music. It is actually Fripp's solo sampled and looped by Wilson. It's so beautiful. What concerns PT, I love some of their albums. However, the last one was a sort of disappointment for me. Not that the album is bad, but I did not find any new ideas there. |

Hardly ever post anywhere, but I had to this time. Mr.
Fripp has already stated that Tool has been his strongest current musical influence. He has also, of his own volition, collaborated with PT. Mr. Fripp does only what he wants to do. Who he works with is a representation of whose music he admires. He has stated that his tour with Tool was his second most enjoyable tour in his career. He has stated his enjoyment of PT music. These are not my opinions, they are his. I respect his opinions, as I respect his music, quite exceedingly. To slight Tool or PT and the manner in which he has chosen to perform with them is to slight his opinion. PT and Tool have put some of the best music out there. Mr. Fripp obviously agrees. |

Well, I don't like Porcupine Tree. I'm quite happy for Robert Fripp to, amazing musician as he is, but I'm equally happy to let everyone know I don't like them myself . |

When did Fripp say Tool was his biggest musical influence? I
could've sworn Tool said Crimson was *their* biggest musical influence.

I don't mean to brag or anything, but I thought you'd like to know that I have tickets to the PT/Fripp show in S.F. Just an FYI. As you were...smoke 'em if you got 'em. |

It was an interview that Fripp was giving and he was
commenting on Tool listing Crimson as their biggest influence, and giving them the same kudos back. He also mentioned that the Tool tour he was on was the second best tour in terms of enjoyment that he had been on in his career. I don't know if I can find the interview again but if I can I'll provide the address. |
