Why Dweezil?  Guess you haven't seen Zappa Plays Zappa, or maybe you have?  Personally I like it.  Can't speak to Gail though.  Personally I'd add Banks and Rutherford to the sacrificial pyre. LOL

This is easy for me because Zappa does little for me. As talented as he was, I still believe he was over-rated. I recall most people I knew really liking his music as being the type who needed to be non-conformists.

Why not? Even if he didn't come back, it wouldn't be a great loss. Unless I accidentally sacrificed them to an ancient demon who would wake up from his sleep and devour the whole universe.

Hmm...keep around a band which I've never liked, or bring back a hyper-intelligent alien composer/guitarist to live life anew...tough, tough decision...

Welcome back, Frank!

No, Leonard Cohen is worth three Nick Drakes, and Bob Dylan is worth 3 and 1/2 Nicks. But it isn't transitive. Meaning, Bob Dylan is not worth 1 and 1/3rd a Leonard Cohen.

Bob is worth Leonard Cohen directly, but either way, they;d both lose their ability to sing.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Drake is worth more than you say (about half a Cohen) and Cohen is worth at least 1½ Dylans.

I never thought of American Idol contestants.  Well, well, well then, as many of them as possible. LOL

You're right, vom. I got Drake confused with Nick Menza. And Nick Cave is worth about 2 Dylans.
