Choirs. Although every single maudlin album (excluding Part the Second, actually, never could get into that one) is so good that it kills me to vote against them. Choirs is just too good though.

75% of people I talk to about Toby Driver, that is the only work of his they have heard.  Go figure.

Because it was free?

Because it was accessible after the monstrously laborious Blue Lambency?
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

From what i've listened to -

Dowsing and Part The Second for the softer side of their music.

Choirs Of The Eye and Bath for the heavier side

Bath for me, although it barely beats Dowsing Anemone.

Guess this isn't too big a surprise given KD seems to be preferred over motW and PtS is probably the most accessible work from either.

Anyway, my vote goes for Bath

All of em excellent albums of course

Toby is so f**king good each of his albums are masterpieces to different people.

I can't pick one out of PtS, CotE and Coyote as they're too good for that, but I'm going with Coyote as it doesn't have enough votes. Bath, LYBM and DAWCP are all amazing though, BLD is just good and I haven't heard MFP yet.

All the votes for PTS just highlights how successful releasing an album for free can be. Otherwise it goes something like this:

1. COTE
2. Bath

...

3. DAWCT
4. BLD
5. PTS
6. LYBM
7. Coyote
8. MFPASC

Stained Glass doesn't really count, but it's probably above Coyote.

Hmm, very hard. Ermm I tend to take a liking to more maudlin, just cause Kayo Dot can a bit much sometimes, for me personally. maudlin just have that other-worldly sound that I love. I absolutely adore both bands though.
Something like this:
1. Bath
2. Part The Second
3. Blue Lambency Downward
4. Choirs Of The Eye
5. Leaving Your Body Map

Great list there Fox.

I prefer Kayo Dot because i love their instrumental passages and mellow tones that they create. Blue Lambency Downward is a great example

Maudlin of the Well definitely. I can't really choose which album of theirs though. I love them all in their own unique way.
