Wow, never thought of 1974 as a particularly great year for prog, but the first 12 or so albums are all astonishing! In the end, I guess it would have to be Crime Of The Century - Supertramp, although "Red", "Mirage", "Relayer" and "Rock Bottom" are all favourites of mine

Very tempted to vote for Kansas but Crime of the Century still gets spun on my home turntable more than any of the other 12 I have. Relayer rates #3.

I got to cast my vote for Rael! As I've said earlier that's my favorite album.

It's Mirage for me. One of my favorite albums ever. Shout out to Gryphon and Tangerine Dream though.

Mirage is a bit of a disappointment after the great Camel debut. Lady fantasy is pretty bland.
|
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

I was thinking of either Utopia or Hamburger Concerto, but then I saw that Red Queen To Gryphon Three had zero votes, so I gave it mine.
