I voted for "to be over" since it's from what is probably my favorite Yes record(relayer).

on the theme of missing choices...  much more so than The Remembering.. I would have chosen The Ancient.

The most divisive track on their most divisive album.  As I've often said.. when you get the briliance of the Ancient.. you get the brilliance of the album. Those who don't.. simply don't...

I may get some of the brilliance of The Ancient, but I don't get the brilliance of the album.

give it time perhaps...  for me at least that track.. and the album were not immediate 'loves'.  It took years .. but when it clicked... it did.. and I think I did hit the nail on the head with my review of Tales. It is the pinacle of prog.. everything prog as a movement had been working towards.. and everything after in the 'classic' era was just prog by the numbers thus the genreficiation  (Đ Micky 2006) of prog.. and its eventual hiatus for decades as a creative musical genre.  Prog is not supposed to be easy listening.. sometimes it does.. and should take some effort to 'get' it. That is why I still haven't fully given up on some of my favorite punching bags..  especially SWilson..  sure I love to pick at him (of all the great things I've done on this forum.. still my shining moment was running his ass OFF of the forum when he joined).. but I still go see him in concert when I have the time .. and still do listen to his releases.

perhaps one day it will click.. I doubt it... but then again.. I thought for years The Ancient was a f**king mess.. now?  I consider it my single favorite Yes song...

^ I don't see why it would be good for the forum to have Wilson get out of it, nor do I see why you should be proud about having achieved that, either as a prominent artist or just as another person.

Clap. Really great people are voting some of those newer great tracks. Really I didnīt understand To Be Over is so popular track here, I think itīs one of the most boring one in that list. Ok song, but the weakest in Relayer.

In a way I agree completley about To Be Over, in another I don't agree at all. Yeah, as it is, it does become rather boring... mostly it's way too long and repetitive. But I do love the main melody. To find it's full beauty I had to hear Howe's solo instrumental versions of the song... there's one in one of the later Yes live album in which only he plays it with acoustic guitar, there's another on one of his solo studio albums in which he plays it with more musicians in the other instruments. Both no longer than 5 min, and it's really one of the most beautiful melodies yes has come up with. I only which they had done a shortened acoustic version of this one for the Song of Tsongas acoustic set, or the Yes Acoustic live DVD they released in the 00's... that seems to me like it might have been the definitive version of the song.
As I said, not a bad song at all, but really my least favourite in Relayer. I think the best part in that song is middle instrumental part, Howe does great job with pedal steel. Also I think there are really much more greater songs in this poll, hope people who havenīt heard them will listen them.
