I've never listened to the Union album, but the 1991 Union tour to support the album is one of the best Yes concerts I've ever seen, featuring the full 8-piece Yes line-up of:- Jon Anderson; Chris Squire; Steve Howe; Trevor Rabin; Rick Wakeman; Tony Kaye; Alan White & Bill Bruford.

Be very grateful that you had those vociferous advisers.

Actually, I do like the Open Your Eyes title track and a handful of other songs on the record, but it's undoubtedly my least favorite Yes album.

I did myself attend the local Union tour stop, and enjoyed it very much.

The album, however, is another story entirely. There are a few good moments, but quite a few awful moments as well. It's the only Yes album I've ever bought that I've gotten rid of entirely without saving a few bits and pieces. I still have my copy of Big Generator, but only listen to it extremely rarely.

What, including Open Your Eyes? That makes both Union and Big Generator sound like masterpieces.

Im agree with Lazland,  Iconsider "Open your eyes" the worst material of Yes by faaaaar

Big Generator at least have a couple of nice songs

I have no real opinion on BG, but I do know Cristi's lost his marbles.
