Mindcrime easily. I was never more than a casual, at best, Floyd fan until fairly recently and Mindcrime is one of my favorite albums from the 80s so this is an easy choice for me.

If it was Mindcrime against an earlier Floyd album then it would be a closer race for me.

Operation Mindcrime and it isn't even remotely close.
The Wall would be a 1* album if it wasn't for Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell.

Boy, that's certainly a....take. Myopic and daft, but a take nonetheless.

Actually, there are numerous good songs on The Wall, other than the 2 you mentioned:

Another Brick in the Wall, Parts 1, 2 and 3 (so subversive it was banned by the Apartheid Government of South Africa for fomenting rebellion in black schools). The only Floyd single to hit #1.
Mother (a personal favorite)
Goodbye Blue Sky (another favorite, fantastic descending scale by Gilmour)
Young Lust (some wonderfully sleazy guitar)
Hey You (Another excellent turn by Gilmour)
Nobody Home (probably Waters' best representation of isolation)
When the Tigers Broke Free (same session, in the movie, but not released till The Final Cut

And in regards to "Comfortably Numb" and "Run Like Hell", there are no songs on Operation: Mindcrime that come even close to that level of greatness. So, there's that.

Myopic and daft
I could easily describe your opinion (because that's all it is, like mine) in a similar fashion, but I am perhaps a little more accepting than you that there are other differing views.
My main problem with The Wall is the concept. I find it utterly uninteresting.
The second is Waters' lyrics. Too nihilistic and depressing.
The third is that Waters wrote a good proportion of the music, and I have never liked much of his solo work or the albums he dominated.
The final one is that Waters sings most of the lead vocals and I much prefer Gilmour's singing.
There. Reasons.

As i said in the other Wall thread I like about half the lp.....especially Numb, Run, and Brick and Dark Elf listed those other tracks that make it interesting.
That makes it better than Mindcrime for me.

In my opinion, there are.

Livecrime is as epic a concert video as any out there. Plus, there are no vocals on this level to be found on The Wall.

People talk about how much Dark Side is overplayed. Well, Comfortably Numb isn't far behind in the overplayed category.

Thank god for that. I've never been a fan of caterwauling.

That's a strange way to refer to Geoff Tate's and Pamela Moore's capabilities, if I ever heard one.

His right to an opinion was never in question.
Just that what he said is a sarcastic exaggeration, that's all.

You're not even an admin. Whether you question The Dark Elf's statement or not makes no difference.

What he said is his opinion. You're a metal head, right? Is that really an extreme statement for you? Come on, you must have seen bazillion times harsher comments in the metal world.

As for the topic, I practically hate PF. Haha. So, Operation: Mindcrime gets my vote; it is a great album!

Kinda on-and-off the topic; Geoff Tate is (actually was) a phenomenal singer IMO.

Just check this live performance of his out:

I don't know what you're talking about.
What vicious cycle?

I was done with this poll, I only said Dark Elf's remark was exaggerated. He did not even come back to the poll to give me a reply. And I'm fine with that. He spoke his mind, I spoke mine. That's all.

^ Cristi. You can and did say about Ayreon and Arjen Anthony Lucassen any contemptuous thing you like. We never judge(d) your convictions. But, you conduct that behaviour. Always...

The vicious cycyle is... obvious if you have an average memory. The previous one began with Hercules's post about how he is not interested in Dream Theater and prefers Haken and Riverside any day. You ridiculed his statement and said that they are influenced by DT. I replied to your posts. And the vicious cycle began... and lasted very long. It always happens concerning my talks with you, especially when there's an obvious dissension...

I really hope that "you're done". But I unfortunately highly doubt it. My previous experiences hints the opposite.

I don't remember ridiculing anyone. That's a serious accusation.

I don't think I have ever been rude to you, or Hercules.
