Please do not take my comment as a suggestion that I would imply that possibly PA would even think or probably adding Kiss.
Rather it was meant as an interruption, and to slide in the fact that the album did start out as a concept piece that was "destroyed" for the sake of fitting on to an LP.
As quoted from Wikipedia :
"The album was presented as a soundtrack to a film that was never made, making it difficult (if not impossible) to follow the storyline. To make matters worse, having received negative feedback following their record company's preview of the album, Kiss altered the record's track sequence in most countries to emphasize potential singles "The Oath" and "A World Without Heroes," which all but guaranteed the inability of listeners to understand the already muddled storyline. Once released, fan reaction to The Elder was harsh; it failed to achieve gold status and peaked at #75 on the Billboard Album Chart."

Reaction - Ace is pissed, as he fought for a return to their hard rock roots. In a twist of fate, he would be heading out the door before Kiss was done recording Creatures of the Night. Which was a return to what Ace had tried to tell them since Dynasty.
They then became a touring machine, so as to pay the bills for Paul & Gene's sumptuous lifestyles ($2million dollar NY apartment, anyone).
And so the magic was lost, but the money kept coming in.
