Symphony X tied with Pain of Salvation but I'll go with SX because they don't have a lot of vote. ( Damn these guys are so much better than DT why nobody understand that..)

It'll be a shame if Queensryche (1 great album) beats out Symphony X (5 great albums).

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen on PA a poll that's so far away from my tastes in music. No vote.

Riverside, with a not that close second place vote to Sieges Even.

If that's the limitations of the list, then it's Dream Theater

I like Riverside the most when compared to the other choices, even though I don't really like them that much.

Last two days to vote. In case of a tie at the moment I close the poll, the band with more studio album ratings will win.

Shouldn't it be vice versa? If a band with 3 albums gets 30 votes, the same as a band with 8 albums, that means those 3 albums were better than any of those 8 albums.

Mmm...perhaps. I thought of this as a way to give more chances to the most prolific band, but you've got a point there. OK. New criteria: the band with more average between studio album ratings will win. Although I'm not convinced of this either. Bands like Anglagard could benefit from this, while this would be detrimental to bands like Tangerine Dream (who is not competing, I just take them as an example). |

Nah. Let's define with the average policy. Seems a little more fair. But another question. What about albums of 2011 that don't have enough ratings because they where just released?Should I consider them for the average? |

I would like to see Fenomen as a candidate in the Jazz Rock Fusion genre.

Voted Diablo Swing Orchestra, but like others here - this is not my preferred kind of music these days, although I have always been fond of 20 minutes of Dream Theater.

My mistake- I read that like you were suggesting the band for inclusion. I apologize. |
