Great great band! It's actually thanks to your reviews that I finally took the step and ordered something from themSmile

Long John Silver prog if I've ever heard such a thing. Goes together with rum and parrots like there was no tomorrow.

I'll be fairly shocked if you like Dimensionaut.  It is fairly straightforward Dad Prog.

LOL
Alright I'll remember you said that Scott.
I do like me some dad-prog though. Marillion, IQ, Phideaux and others that I forget right nowEmbarrassed
Dimensionaut though was ordered because I currently am challenging myself a bit musically. That, and it's Phil Collins' son behind the kit and he's doing the vocals too. What can I say, I dig his daddy-oBig smile
His singing sounds a good bit like dear ol' dad, so if that isn't a turnoff like it is for some, then you are halfway there.

I dig daddy's singing big time, so I'm really looking forward to this one now, thanksSmile

Hey Dave. I think you'll appreciate some of the album altogether as a complete listening experience for you. One of my main dicrepencies is that the album, I think, is far too long. It does meander along and gets pretty trite.
I do, however, appreciate some of the sophisticated pop elements on the album. The main chorus on I AM (Demensionaut) is absolute beauties. ;)

Alright. From the first couple of listens, I am really quite chuffed with it. Nothing beats the final epic though, but it's a pretty good album despite it could've used a bit of editing imho.
That epic though is brilliant - and yes, you guys are right on the money. Jr does indeed sound like daddy-o - that is without ever coming off like a tribute.

I've just listened twice to Major Parkinson myslef today on spotify, great stuff really and although they are less heavy overall they still remind me of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.
