Also, jplanet is the guitarist from Shadow Circus, he was actually active in regular discussions for a while. He only came to promote his album, but Rob sucked him in by arguing about gay marriage.

Nice innuendo.  Thank you for that.

Actually, we had one debate about gays in the military, and that was it.  Furthermore, once he understood my principle that marriage shouldn't be a government controlled deal, he appreciated where I was coming from.

That was not intentional! :O

I used to have two blogs with more than 5 visits per month. I have more than 100 friends on Facebook. I appeared once in a family youtube video. By today standards, I'm celebrity, hence I ask for recognition.

Shamelessly, I'm going to say this:

My first album has almost 50 ratings and reviews, yet it is inferior (at least in terms of production) to the second one.  Yet the new one has 5 although it is FREELY available to listen to online.

By the way, I am a celebrity.  Every time I come home, it's to an applause, like when a favored character shows up on a sitcom.

Only the hands are small, and but two pair!

Let's see.... I have writen over 500 reviews, have conversed with many prog artists, I had a conversation with Gillian Eastoe last week, I talked to Terry Murray the guitarist from Thunderclap Newman last week, and I am a Symphonic Collaborator here.

On the non prog side, I used to be involved in theatre, played Macbeth, Richard III (twice), Mad Hatter, and many other roles, was in the newspapers, was in a car insurance ad, and have spoken to hundreds about my trip to China....

no, not a celebrity, and would not want to be really LOL

and thanks for reminding me to check out the album Epignosis!

There are some high media profile celebrities in this forum. They like to be anonymous here and just be taken for what they write and not for whom they are. This is an oasis for them and a very good oasis in a barren desert and it will stay like that.

Mr Wilson demanded that we delete his account because he did not agree with the site's policy of allowing non-professional reviews ( something that is part of the very DNA of our site, almost its raisin d'être!). However I think the real reason was revealed a few weeks after he left when we received a legal notice requiring us to remove all PT mp3s from the database. That hurt because I think we were partly responsible for the band's emergence from the shadows...

I remember the first time I ever heard Porcupine Tree was streaming Even Less on their profile page - bought Stupid Dream that day and haven't looked back.

More than that, this site is a perpetual boon to Porcupine Tree in terms of marketing and rallying a generous portion of their fan base.

Kind of biting the hand(s) that feed them, I think...

Speaking of forumers drooling over girls from bands, Lynette from The Red Masque is quite hot (and she posts here regularly to promote their concerts).

A shame about Mr Wilson's attitude - most prog artists here are happy to be reviewed in any guise and that only adds to more sales and greater fan bases. Exposure is essential and I dont even trust magazine reviews, I would more likey trust collab reviews here who actually understand and enjoy the music - and not just do it for the money. A lot of magazine reviews have hidden agendas - such as to promote new prog without even hearing the whole album at times.
