Heavily seconded! Clap  The everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach to production always reminded me of Ambrosia’s first two albums.  Year of the Knife is my fave.

 

Flash & the Pan’s 2nd album “Lights in the Night” is very prog-leaning.

Bad Religion cut Into The Unknown. They didn't take themselves seriously, thinking they would be through in a year or two, so they decided to explore, and so did some spacey prog. Wonderful stuff, really should be reissued on CD at some point.

Also Iron Maiden released "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son back in the 80's which was a concept album of sorts and fairly proggy. Also their last few albums have been exploring proggier ideas along with epic tracks.

I would even rather mention Seven Tears. Side 2 (She Flies on Strange Wings,  This Is the Other Side of Life and You're Better Off Free) can easily qualify as prog.
