Getting back into Yo La Tengo in anticipation of their latest album, which I haven't bought yet but will soon.

This track is the opening song from their 2007 album "I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass", and it's a great zoned-out jam-based track built around a real cool bass line, a straight Velvets-like beat,  and feedbacky lead guitar, with occasional hazy distorted vocals.

Happy?  Yeah, I guess.  Good to see you, man.

So far today...Arz - Birth of a Hero. Then again that is as far as I have made it through the CD so far so that may change in a bit here.

LOL

That has to be the greatest album title I've ever heard.  It even has trochaic meter!

The Pursuit of Happiness - "Two Girls in One"

"...Sensitive and vulnerable, that's the kind she likes best
But he's gotta have muscles and lots of hair on his chest
Because she's two girls, two girls in one
She's the woman that she wants to be
And the woman she's become...."

Ha ha ha... love this band.
