Bushman's Revenge - Jazz, Fritt Etter Hukommelsen
What do you guys think of it? Although initially a bit disappointed with it, for not being as hard hitting as the rest of their output, I'm quickly coming to grips with it and have started accepting it for what it is, a nice little jazz album. Smile

Recommend checking out their live album Bushman's Fire if you get the opportunity. An entirely different beast, probably destined to be my album of the year. Was in attendance when they recorded it, the most ferocious live performance I've ever experienced. Accompanied by Kjetil Møster on sax and David Wallumrød on organ, they were literally on fire that night, and that translates well to record.

Excellent fusion album, already love it to bits, and I'm definitely going to order Bushman's Fire when I get the chance. Thumbs Up

Hi Audun
Damn it's been a while. Hope you're doing good my friend. Still walking in those mountains of your's from time to time? I still fantasise about living close to a mountain of my own that I can visit any time I like. Maybe it's because I live in Denmark eh? Seriously whenever I travel and see mountains my vacation instantly gets vastly more exciting.
Yeah erm...Bushman's Revenge? Great jazz album. I really dig the almost tinkling feel of the cymbals. Makes it all dreamy and rather soothing to the ears.
Thanks for the rec btw! Duly noted good sir.
Hi, Dave. Yeah, it's been a while. I'm fine, thanks for asking. Working and listening to good music is what my days consists of mostly, as always. Smile How are you? I read in another thread you lost 25 kilos or something? Good job, mate! Clap I've put on about 20 myself the last year. Unhappy Really have to get back on track with diet and exercise...but I think I'll wait till after new years. Wink LOL

Haven't done as much hiking as I would've liked the last year, but I did Besseggen with my dad and my sister's boyfriend during my summer vacation (I would've shared some pics, but my old computer's not cooperating and is in dire need of replacement, so I'm not able to atm). It was really neat though, and tough. We did it in about 7.5 hrs, and there was especially one part where I, as someone not particularly fond of heights, really struggled, but I got through it. Me and my dad decided we would do Galdhøpiggen again next summer though, not as exhausting. LOL

Anyway, bought:

Gorguts - Pleiades' Dust
King Crimson - Beat
King Crimson - Three of a Perfect Pair
Nirvana - Nevermind
Nirvana - In Utero
Noxagt - s/t

Ordered:

King Crimson - Level Five
King Crimson - The Elements (2014 Tour Box)
Stick Men - Prog Noir
Vespero - Lique Mekwas
Vespero - Azmari: Abyssinian Liventure

Received:

Aluk Todolo - Voix
Burzum - Hvis lyset tar oss
Burzum - Filosofem
Enslaved - Monumension
Enslaved - Below the Lights
Enslaved - Axioma Ethica Odini
Meshuggah - The Violent Sleep of Reason

Got a few CDs used for seven bucks apiece:

Santana - Caravanserai - I was very glad to find this one. I've been looking for it for a while and getting it used for cheap made my day.

Mike Oldfield - Incantations - I've never heard this album before but have heard some controversial views on it... Give it to me straight guys, did I make a good call going in blind on this one, or did I just waste seven precious dollars that I'll never get back?

I once rated it with 1 star, it took me quite a few spins to get into all that repetition. Now I only hate the second half of side two, the rest is great.

Received a Kosmik package as well:
Blakulla - s/t (LP)
Three Monks - The Legend of the Holy Circle (LP)
Sounds of New Soma - Moebius Tunnel (LP)
Mondo Drag - s/t (CD)
Steve Moore - Cub OST (CD)
Maserati - Rehumanizer (CD)
Love Machine - Circles (CD)
Bad Acid - Revelations of the Third Eye (CD)
Motorpsycho - Here Be Monsters (CD)

That will keep me busy for a while Wink

Yea... I'll keep an eye out for one. My family likes to joke that if I keep up with this itch of mine that they will need to add on another room to the house. Frankly, it sounds like a good idea to me. LOL
