The Polish language itself is the best reason to learn it. I'm fond of this language... Heart

No. That's the point. I love this language without being a Pole.

Sorry for the moment, I just have to go to work. I'll return to this thread though, as it was interesting, especially some first pages when I tried to decypher the encoded Polish diacritics...

This thread still exists?! I thought it'd been deleted 'cos I couldn't find it.
Oh, and now I know why I couldn't: I was searching for 'Beksiński' not 'Beksinski'.

What's up guys, BTW? I didn't see you too often on the forums.

I'm back...

I can't explain rationally my love to the Polish language. In fact, I like all the languages and I would like to know all of them, but there's something special in Polish for me... don't know what...

That's probably because you're a native speaker of Polish. Native speakers mostly unaware of a beauty of their language...

I think Finnish is a very beautiful language, even though I'm a native speaker.

I also think my native language (Russian) is beautiful, but I'm not a good example -- I'm in love with the theme of languages at all. And, also, the charm a native speaker feels to his/her language and the charm a person who doesn't speak a certain language feels aren't the same.

I don't know much about Finnish, though I know (Knew?) something about its phonetics as I made a work on it when I was studying.

I believe that every language is beautiful if you use it in a beautiful way.

Well, I must say I liked Russian language when I was at primary school (but I haven't Russian lessons, I only learned the Cyrillic alphabet by myself)... and still I can read your alphabet :>

One of the reasons I like Polish is, indeed, the fact that my native language is Russian, therefore Polish is partly understandable. Still, it doesn't explain my sentiments to Polish fully, since other Slavic languages are also partly understandable for me, but none of them attracts me like Polish does (with the possible exclusion of Czech, which is also wonderful; it takes the second place in my "sentimental" ranking of the Slavic languages, after Polish. Well, Byelorussian takes the third place, but this language is very similar to Russian...)
