If this is so, how is it you are not posting piccies to my alternate coverart thread?

I just moved from Quebec to Ontario. Need I say anymore. My kid sister finally convinced me that Quebec is a shipwreck financially, politically and psychologically. A basket case province. A real mess . I was born raised and educated there. Our parents came from England when it was booming in the 50s. The separitists just don't have a clue man. It was the English, Irish and Scottish that built that province and the French farmers ruined the f**k out of it. I was the last member of my family to leave after returning back a few times. All the rest had the sense to either go back to England and Scotland or settle in other parts of Canada by 1980. My sister has nicknamed me the last of the Mohicans.

I'll try and find your thread and try and share some of the "alternate" album covers that I have.

Meanwhile enjoy this political cartoon by a longtime Montreal Gazette political cartoonist friend Terry Mosher which pretty much sums up anglo anger and frustration. Go and live in the Congo bitch.

I listen to a lot of Prog on Youtube but my Collection at the moment is actually very small. I only have 6 Albums to do with Prog. They are

A Trick of the Tail by Genesis
Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Ark 2 by Flaming Youth
Face Value by Phil Collins
Trespass by Genesis
So by Peter Gabriel

LOL, I need to get more Prog albums but I'm not sure which ones to get first.

Wow.....you have a lot of catching up to do.....but the good thing is it will be a fun ride discovering all the great music on the way.
I'm sure others will recommend things but I would start with the classics of prog and go from there...
King Crimson
Yes
Genesis
ELP
Pink Floyd
Moody Blues
Van Der Graaf Generator
Gentle Giant
Caravan
Camel
Renaissance
This list is from the home page under top prog on PA
you can't go wrong with most on that list.

You can always get  adventurous after listening to the early ones

I sugest that you listen to these guys. Octobre. Best French-Canadian band ever. Listen to the live album man.I had to speak French with Pierre to get some of the information included in the bio . Some French artists are really frustrated over this retarded language issue. Believe me.

Yes, I have 3 or four of the best Octobres. You are correct - the double live is the vest place to start. The first two releases, less so.

The first two were a bit on the rebelious side but what the band had going for them was something that rarely appears these days. Talent. Talent. Third time. Talent. CBS records begged Pierre to record in English but he idealistically he refused. You have  to understand he was still very young and impressionable. If you have that double live on vinyl or CD you have a treasure. Unfortunately there was not enough space on the short-lived CD for the extended jam Brazilia. which was the suprise of the event.  I have at least 3 copies of that album on vinyl. everytime I was going to review it but something always came up. A work of art!

At least I don't have to put up with their nonsense anymore. Good Riddance. It's a good thing I didn't post some of Aislin's rejected cartoons.
