No matter the country, the idea is the same: keep you entertained and blissfully ignorant of 99% of what's happening out there by making you focus on ONE topic a week...

Yeah they should be concentrating on important momentous stuff like what Palin says.  Damn them  after all these revolution thingies are two a penny

You are the one who believes then that the only alternative to Egypt is what Sarah Palin says... Brilliant.

Yeah, one of the world's longest running dictator has just gave up after a very intense turmoil and one of the most strategically important countries in the world is now in a very peculiar situation, but are these really the kind of things to show on a news channel? Nah...

I'm not saying it shouldn't be on tv, I'm saying they can at least devote 30% of their news programs to talk about something else like our national situation (independent of the country you live in). You are the one interpreting as if I said "don't show anything about Egypt". You plant the words and the false dichotomy (either 100% egypt or 0% egypt; or like the other member  "either 100% egypt or sarah palin"Dead

Gladly we have other news outlets.

Thanks.  Also West Ham have come out as the preferred bidder for the Olympic Stadium.

So you weren't actually deprived of other news, but you still preferred to make that completely rhetorical post.

At least Janet Jackson just got her tits out. Which is worst for the US media, fluffing the anthem, or flashing the flesh?

Oh, the tit was an absolute horror for "values" America.  Which is why 60+ yo rock stars played the next few years - hopefully no threat of "wardrobe malfucntions" with that lot.

Surely they both get them out on a regular basis?

Now the question is... how long till the Egyptians figure out that when you peel off the skin of the regime you have the same infection running through the marrow?
