The band can be stunning, yes. I'm not a big fan but I appreciate their work. But then again, there are those who won't like it, That's just how it is.

I have to say this poll has been rather insane to say the least, but if Spock doesn't make it, that's alright Cool

^ Really? Or are you just saying that because you're not necessarily the biggest Rush fan? Wink

Godspeed, and it's not even close to a competition for me.

What good is a poll that won't let users vote?

You need 40 posts to vote in polls. This rule was made because people would start making multiple accounts just to vote on polls like these... kind of pathetic if you think about it.

Apparently the most recent application of that rule is to deal with Spock's Beard caring hard about a meaningless poll.

Yeah, I chuckled a bit when I saw what was happening here.  LOL

I more than chuckled.  I think this whole thing is absolutely hilarious.

Fanboysm or not we have now a huge number of persons that may be interested tomorrow in listening how GY!BE sound, isn't it? Who really cares about who wins the poll? Remember the Genesis vs Yes. With all the polemics and the bribery it has been a very fun thing and nobody has stopped liking one of the two bands.

As I'm writing this I wonder how many people must be thinking "Ohhh, a new post by Morningrise...and it's September 24th already...the poll must be closed by now"

I feel like an Alfred Hitchcock of prog polls LOL

Seriously speaking, this post is to communicate that due to how close this poll is, to avoid any suspicions I'll also say the approximate time that I plan to close it (hope I don't forget)

15:00 hs. (Prog Archives hour)

Until then, keep on biting your nails...

Well said.  Clap

In my mind, the bottom line is that new people are being brought in to our site and with that brings the opportunity to expose every genre to new people.  It's not about who wins this poll, it's about introducing our favorite music to new fans.
-------someone please tell him to delete this line, he looks like a noob-------

I don't have an unnatural obsession with Disney Princesses, I have a fourteen year old daughter and coping mechanisms.

^ Very good point! I think maybe more people from them SB forums might actually go and change their mind, and listen to GY!BE and understand that they have made a terrible mistake :) !

I would agree with this, but then I wonder how many of these new members will show their faces again between now and the next time SB shows up in the tournament (and after the tournament, at all)?  What I've seen so far from browsing the last few pages is a ton of 1-2 post wonders...
