^Area and Osanna
Orme would be 2 on my big 5 list.. behind Osanna (love all their albums.. not just the monsterous Palepoli) and just ahead of PFM who were just ahead of Area.. with a rather large drop off to Banco.

amen to that... mine go debut, Io Sono, then Darwin. Banco has always been an enigma to me, probably my least favorite of the great Italian 5.. but not for lack of quality. I think it is the overall style which doesn't bite me as hard as it did with others. A bit too much sympho.. not enough hot pepper from other Mediteraen influences that was the secret sauce that not only made much of RPI great.. but also made it a distinct beast from generic classic English prog.
I'm far from an RPI expert (own 60-70 titles maybe) but from the big 5? you mentioned (Orme, Banco, Pfm - who's the other two?) Pfm is prob my least fave. Love em of course but not as much as Banco. My all-time RPI fave is the great Orme...pure musical magic, man!

^ which of those 3 would you consider your fav
Hmmm hard to tell..Io Sono probably since it was my entry point to Banco. Darwin is mental and the début not far behind for me. Anyway, any respectable music collection should have these 3 little gems afaic.
