I'm only waiting
Till the morning comes,
Till the morning comes, o-o-o-o-owo-o-owo-o-o-oh.

As you can see, it's kind of an After the Gold Rush week (or month) for me.

Pink Floyd - Saucerful of Secrets

I love the unique studio version without drums, but today I went for Pompeii. Love em equally, it's all down to the day.

I've heard many describe it as boring on account of the long riff based sections. Must admit, that they are among my fave moments in Rush' music. It's the exact same that makes the start of Cygnus x-1 so great.

The Pompeii version with the visuals is soooo freakin' fun.  Never seen Roger Waters so happy as when he bashes the crap out of that gong.

Yeah I love watching that too. He really does look like he's having the time of his life with that gong.

Lots of upsides to it, but the Pompeii version doesn't have that same sense of 'reverence' as the original imo.

Agreed.  The Pompeii version lacks a lot of the subtlety of the original, even if it's superficially more exciting and dynamic.  I would not want to live without either one.
