The king?...
There is only one king: The Crimson King

La Speranza del sentimento è schiavitù
La Speranza del corpo è malattia

there aren't 'Instrumental songs'.
In a 'song' someone sings, there are always vocals.
And an 'Instrumental' track or piece is only intruments, no vocals.

Focus. I've only heard good things about them. Anyone recommend a
good starting point?

If you want solid albums:

  1. Hamburger Concerto
  2. Moving Waves

I ususally avoid compilations, but there's one called Hocus Pocus,
which gives a good panoramic view of the band.

If you want a full Focus experience, try the DVD named Masters from
the Vault

You'll enjoy it and it's cheap.

Thanks. I will check them out.
