Yesterday: 104 F (40 C) .. oh, joy ... flashbacks to the June I've spent in Rome 12 years back.
Now: 96 F (36 C).

Just another bunch of scorchers.

"Emergency Warning Alert:

Flash Flood Warning blah-blah-blah 'til 7:15 blah-blah-blah. Avoid all flash flood areas. Blah-blah-blah."

Well, that was a short swim for me.

^ Speaking of cool: right now I'm sitting next to an AC that can deliver refrigerator-level chill to my body. Approve

18°C, overcast. The forecasts for the next week are good: increasingly sunny with maximum temperatures of 22-25°C.

Summer is going on full strength here in Dutchland. Last week we had some days with 26°C, yesterday just below 23°C.
The temperature just passed the 30°C. With two more hot days to go and some days in the 25-27°C range ahead, we may expect the first official heatwave since 2006.

Here in the Reno/Sparks area everyone out in the streets is getting cooked at the 100 F (38 C) temperature. They say it's supposed to be 106 F (41 C) high and 70 (21 C) low today. The scorchers are back!

Humidity has died off here in T.O, so we're now back to 24 degrees with a nice breeze.
Couldn't ask for more.

After a week with temperatures between 25-30 C, there's some rain now and it's cooling down.
But forecasts say the temperature will rise again, especially tomorrow. Showers, thunderstorms...
Wonder if the sunny summer will return next week. Hopefully it will.

The 39th heatwave (the 7th of this century) has ended today. The next days will see temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees.

The 30°C has just been reached here. This happened only once in September after 1950 (on 3 Sept. 1991).

It doesn't appear to be that hot over here.

Confused You guys are both in the Netherlands, no more than like 200km apart. Even for northern Netherlands google weather is reporting 31°C.

It's 26°C here in sunny Albion, but feels a darn sight hotter than that.
What?

Neither do I. I'm just not freezing in my office today. Normally I need extra clothes in the first half of the afternoon, but now it feels fine.

The official weather report gives temperatures between 26,2 (Terschelling - a northern Frisian island) and 32,5°C (Eindhoven - in the southeast) for 4:10 PM CEST. My standard is the temperature in De Bilt (chief weather station and closest to my home), now 30,3°C.

I guess mine would be closest to Terschelling, since I live in NH.

Temperature varies between 28,8 (Berkhout) and 31,5 (Wijk aan Zee) over there.
