Bright Brown is sonic cinema. Bittersweet layers and textures abound, and beautifully crafted songs exist at the core. Alex Nahas’ songwriting boldly chooses to sit “between the meager and the mundane” elevating the everyday.
Along with Nick Smeraski on drums, they've wowed audiences with their explosive duo performances and have just released their second critically acclaimed record, "Oceans".

“...brilliant songs, full of pathos and alienation, but sweetened with strong doses of optimism... healthy doses of climactic major chords and high-arcing vocal choruses.” ~Greg Howard, Stick.com

“...comes at you with dark heart and plea...Nahas' voice is heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time, the music layering over and under like sweet and sorrow...lose yoursel...f in the world of the songs and learn something about where inner and outer landscapes meet.”
~Arielle Guy, Turntable and Blue Light

“Like David Byrne after a hot bath...” ~Leah Siegel

released 17 October 2014

Alex Nahas - Vocals, Chapman Stick, Keyboards, Percussion
Nick Smeraski - Drums, Cajon on 6
Gabby Sherba - Additional Vocals on 3

Tracked by Alex and Nick at Bright Brown Sound and Saltlands.
Mixed and mastered by Alex at Bright Brown Sound.
