Same here only by an iota over L'Isola di Niente which was for the longest time my favorite from them.  Storia in the last few years have really grown on me to become my favorite.

PFM's high water mark is L'Isola di Niente imo.

Oh and lied earlier on. I do like Chocolate Kings a bit, and the 2006 all instrumental prog by the numbers Stati di Immaginazione is actually very good for what it is..........but like I said earlier on, all in all, PFM is no match for perhaps the most consistent string of albums made by any 70s artist.
I have everything up to and including Die Nacht der Seele and they're all fantastic. I've heard the two subsequent albums are just as good making this a string of 15 albums without a bummer (14 perhaps, Yoga isn't really a Popol Vuh release).

Having only heard both these genres for the first time a couple of years ago, I fell head over heels for the RPI world at the first chords of listening to PFM's Per un Amico.  Easy for me, PFM, even though I really enjoy the other.

PS - Dave/Guldbamsen, that Avatar is disturbing....LOL

Couldn't decide so I went with Popol to even it out. Both rule, but comparing their best material, Hosianna Mantra is probably more unique than Per Un Amico.

How could I not vote for PFM?
L'Isola Di Niente is close to being my favorite album of all time.
The first four albums are breathtaking.
PFM all the way!

As much as I love PFM's first three albums, they're still up against the first 13 of Popol Vuh'sBig smile

Hosianna Mantra leaves me dry, but I always had the feeling that I'd love Popul Vuh's other albums. I like PFM too, so I'll have to give them each another listen before voting.
