I'm not going to vote here coz it's unfair, but any song I've heard from TH, sounds idiotic to me. Now I don't mean to rub certain folks up the wrong way, but TH 'radio songs' sound like the very thing I detest in music......... And yes, I adore 80's Crimson. Roxy, I love their earlier material over the later, more slick affairs, but Roxy leave TH leagues behind........

Despite my intense dislike of Brian Ferry for his views on foxhunting and his support for his moron of a son, I go with Roxy Music.
Never got Talking Heads at all.

I am not fond of either, but I prefer Roxy Music above most New Wave bands. And "most New Wave bands" also includes the Talking Heads.

I vote Roxy for the strength of their first two albums. I don't like the Talking Heads much.

I liked Roxy's later stuff more than their earlier stuff and vice versa.

Love both bands. Voted for Roxy because they got better and better as a band. Yes, early material was creative and unique, but they also sounded like they were learning their instruments as they were recording. The Heads reached a peak after a few years, but waned at the end. Roxy ended their career with their best album. So yes, Icarium, I like Avalon.

Roxy Music. Talking Heads (Byrne specifically) gets on my nerves after a while. Though Remain in Light and Speaking in Tongues were as good as it got in the early 80s. Roxy just had more soul.

Roxy gets my vote...if nothing else than for Eno's "solo" on Re-Make Re-Model
