I just started selling items on ebay.  Was just wondering if anyone else has sold/does sell on ebay.  Also, looking for any advice on how to get more eyeballs to my items.

i used to sell books on ebay and did really well.

i scanned my covers instead of photos ... if you have to do photos - make them look as good as you can.

charge exact shipping - not some flat rate where people get ripped off - i never buy from those guys.

honesty is the best policy - if you are honest - you'll build a reputation and have people fighting over your stuff ..
What so many sellers don't realize is that you can make a fortune if you're honest instead of ripping people off for a few bucks here and there.  seems simple but a huge percent of ebay sellers just don't get it

What would you advise doing when the item doesn't sell?  Immediate re-listing?  Revising then re-listing?

I'm a veteran ebay seller.I've sold thousands of records on there.I've took a break though as i got burnt out on it.I advise getting yourself an ebay store then you can keep relisting items that don't sell. You can list hundreds of items that way.Of course you have a set price or accept offers in a store,it can't be bid on in the store.I used to only put the high dollar records in auctions. The rest i put in my store for a price i was comfortable with, didn't matter to me it could've bought a few more dollars. Also being an international seller helps but can be more aggarvating.I've sold thousands of records to all of Europe and Russia was my best customer.Don't know how business with Russia is now since we have another Cold War going.Well hope that helps you a little.Selling on Ebay can make you money, but you will definitely sacrifice your time.Feel free to ask me any questions.

It was $15.00 a month when i was selling. The store makes it easier to relist items.Ebay will help you open it.You need to be selling lots of stuff to justify opening a store though.
Thats my expirience.
