Can do, although that might not be as much of a problem for most bands in the future. Pandora is paying about $60 per million plays ! Split that between band members, manager, label and promotion and you probably have enough to buy a candy bar each !

I did hear of some band on Pandora / Spotify whose yearly profits amounted to $13.

So. On the one hand, you've got "does too much money ruin music...... " and on the other.... "does too little money ruin music " ? Smile

Another perspective. Are - as I think I mentioned in the first post - should we actually consider music and money in the same argument ?

I hear you on this one... I remember my mother screaming at me when I said I wanted to go to music school - "DO YOU WANT TO BE A STARVING ARTIST?!"  Long story short, I didn't go.

It would be nice if people could do what they were passionate about without fear of bankruptcy.  Then again, if I said that about business ownership, I would disagree with myself.
