Neither, but my dislike for Patti Smith is only limited.

The Clash. I'm still quite fond of Sandinista even if it is kind of a hodgepodge mess. Really ambitious though, and the good stuff is really good.

Voted for Patti Smith - would never have done this before but, these days I'm more likely to listen to her music than the Clash.

Seriously, The Clash. But it was a tough choice.

Interesting... I'm going with Patti Smith overall, although I'd probably pick London Calling over any Patti Smith album.

The Clash for sure. Never really got into Patti Smith, but I more than appreciate Horses for how early it came out. Then again, the whole of Clash's debut is outstanding...

I enjoy Patti's work, Radio Ethiopia especially, but I can't describe her as any better than "good". The Clash, however, although not always amazing, have some really exceptional material under their belt.

The Clash. The hype on Smith was more rhetoric than reality.

Loving this poll series Tony! Damn, this is a tough one though. I have to let this one steep a bit I think.

Defo the Clash. Smith's a bit of an acquired taste. (I own Horses but don't drag it out nearly as often as London Calling.)
