VdGG are a top 10 band for me. Genesis don't even crack the top 50. No contest here for me!

Genesis.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Really difficult. Genesis have more great albums, to me, so it'll probably go to them, but, Peter Hammill...

On the famous Charisma tour, Phil Collins acted as the social link between the hard drinking Lindisfarne on the back seat to the hard smoking VDGG on the front seats (Genesis were in the middle apparently).  For this reason alone, my vote goes to Genesis!

For me its the choice between
3. Godbluff and Foxtrot
2. H to He and SEBtP
1. Pawn Hearts and LLDOB
In any case I go with Van der Graaf Generator
Would you catch the final words of mine?

I did think this would be a smidge closer than it was.  The power of the bobbleheads and Field Marshall Ivan never ceases to amaze me. Especially when Ivan talks about Camel being soporific...  hah.. Mirage had more air guitar and red-blood moments than the entire f**king Genesis catalog LOLLOL
