Tull has one undisputed prog classic. Thick as a Brick.  There is significant variance from there.  Thus the term undisputed. As many HATE Passion Play as love it,  Minstrel and Heavy Horses.. I can find as many that call them crap and b*****dizations of folk as many that call them classics.

As far as the earlier album.. stone cold classics.. but this is a prog forum.  I do put myself in  the group, and it is out there that JT was far better as a folksie-blues rock band than when they went prog..  I do like the term that Tull was directly responsible for coining. The purveyors of mediocre prog..

Aqualung through Heavy Horses is only challenged by a couple of PFM albums.

Two or so years ago I discovered the RPI genre and started with PFM and fell head over heels for it.  PFM is my vote even though I love a lot of Tull's early works up to War Child.

Those three PFM-albums I own get more spins than all twelve by Jethro Tull combined. So my vote goes to the italians. Benefit is a perfect album that I'll never tire of though.

Tull, of course!

Like PFM really stands a chance against prog folk's finest, you're so full of crap, Micky! LOL Love it! Hug
