What's your favorite release from the Prog masters in the golden year of 1973?
Please let me know if I missed anything.

EDIT: Yes, I know I forgot ELP's Brain Salad Surgery. You can totally add that on your lists or as your favorite if you want, it's an option.
EDIT #2: Add Camel if you like as well. Big smile

Dark Side. The only album on this list that I rated 10/10.

In order it would be (only with the albums of the poll):

01. Dark Side 10/10
02. Selling England 9,8/10
03. Larks Tongues In Aspic 9,6/10
04. Glass House 9,5/10
05. A Passion Play 9,3/10
06. Tales From Topographic Oceans 9/10

It's weird that Brain Salad Surgery is not there. ELP is a giant of prog.

There are a few record amongst that lot (namely Tales and Passion Play) I'd vote for in other polls if there wouldn't be Selling England. This record couldn't be beatable so Genesis with SEBTP is my winner.

One of my favorite years for Prog.  Too many great choices!  I followed suit and gave the first vote for Yes.

You're right, I totally forgot about that. You may say that if you wish, thanks for letting me know.

Tales man.. the only album of that list that isn't loved simply for nostalgia... 40 years later it still delivers new unheard of moments of musical majesty to long term listeners.

You ain't getting that from those lesser albums ... pfff.

I enjoy all six of those a whole lot.  Passion Play is probably closest to my heart tho.

Exactly how I would list them, just not the ratings.

Nice votes, guys! I am a little surprised that I'm the only one to vote for IAGH, though I suppose that it compares in comparison to these bands to in a lot of your opinions. That's cool by me. Wink

Dark Side of the Moon by far. Every once in a great while, you hear something new that totally changes your way of looking at life forever after. DSOTM was one of these.

It's difficult to compete against all those amazing albums. I wouldn't put it on last place though: I heard 'Way of Life' on my way to work today loudly Wink
