I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Had to go with Dream the Electric Sheep as they got my number one vote, and hats off to them. I loved the IQ and Motorpsycho releases as well. It took a lot to muscle past those two.

In the list I made up in the collab zone, IQ were actually number two. Mostly Autumn we're number one. |
I love almost all MA, but I really haven't fallen in love with Dressed in Voices at all.
I'll have to give it another spin.

I didn't vote for any of those. My favourites of 2014 were 'Casualties of Cool' by Devin Townsend and 'Oi Magoi' by Hail Spirit Noir, (both of which I added to the site )

I used to be the biggest MA fanboy, but all their albums since Storms Over Still Water sound alike an uninspired to me. Dressed in Voices I actually thought was even less enticing than the previous one.
I'll never forget how they gave me some of the happiest musical moments of my life (including an incredible 3,5 hour performance to just 20 people in a backwater Portuguese village - got to chat with Bryan and smooch Heather ), but their stuff today? Just meh.

^ I agree, the last album sounded uninspired, compared to other albums IMO. Where did you see them?

Tough choice but I went with IQ. The CD is purely brilliant.

Don't believe there have been for years now. Got to see a few good gigs, MA, Paatos, Magenta, Black Bonzo - actually have some footage for that one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF-o0JV8RVg

^ That's a shame, there are not much Prog concerts and so badly
advertised: I only knew GAR because of your thread last year and I saw
just now that Arena will play here next April... if it doesn't get
canceled again I didn't know Black Bonzo, it sounds good. Also, great Torga Ostera video, I really like their album

I keep thinking that is their name! I'll change it (no wonder they weren't getting any votes for awhile there).

Ok, embarassing confession time, I bought the physical CD, voted it as my number one CD of the year, listened to the CD a good fifteen or twenty times . . . and just now realized that the last word in the band is Sleep . . .
