There was that two-record, gatefold LP from some early '70s music festival in Rio or the likes featuring ELP that I found in the local public library's used books room. The discs looked like they'd been stepped on at least a half dozen times. I wouldn't mind finding it remastered on CD (I know-not in the spirit of this thread). By the way, anyone know this LP's title?

I would pick up anything on the Vertigo label...rare stuff and likely not much of it to be seen on the market. As all these 20-somethings start to sell off mom and dad's collections, they will realize there are some gems with value buried in those basements and attics.
Some of you across the pond from me should have better luck finding these rare gems......Here in the US theya re tough and 'spensive!

I have the Harper from 1971, 666 by Aphrodite's Child on Vertigo, and May Blitz on Vertigo.....thanks to a friend who found them in the past and suggested I hang on to them.
I also have some other obscure prog ones but not sure how rare they are.

The rare Harper are the first three - not Stormcock.
(I have "Sophisticated Beggar") My Aphrodite's Child is the Spaceship Vertigo, I believe. The May Blitz IS rare ( musically inferior to first though), but not too expensive. |

I once found a spaceship pressing of 666 for £8 spent ages cleaning the damn thing, only to discover that it had groove damage.

After reading this I wanted to say I have this double album in NM condition with the all white cover without any writing on it and it has the shink wrap still on it and was wondering if your freinds is the only other one you know of? Yes you have me excited. Tell me more.
