Part 3 of 5 polls. The short straw goes to OBC, of course, although it's a great album with many fans, including myself.

Compare their merits, and have fun

DSOTM.

This album left me cold for some years, but after seeng it performed live in its entirity on the Division Bell tour I revisisted it, and fell in love. For a long time I preferred WYWH, but DSOTM is a more complete album. WYWH feels like it's missing track. They should have added another song instead of reprising SOYCD imo. I love Welcome to the Machine and the title track though.

Obscured by clouds is pretty good.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

WYWH, definitely. Although I don't know Obscured By Clouds....

I played Dark Side Of The Moon as much, or more, than any album I had at the time.
Wish You Were Here is an excellent album that was probably slightly overshadowed by the lasting popularity
of Dark Side.

I wouldn't compare The Dark Side and Wish You Were Here to Obscured By Clouds... I realy like this album, but well, Wish You Were Here is best thing PF have done, especialy first part of Shine On You Crazy Diamond...

Dark Side, On The Run and Brain Damage/Eclipse own that for me. And it was the album that put me in progressive rock.
BUt WYWH is magnificent.

OBC is just a filler between Meddle and DSOTM, but is a nice album, 3 stars or something.
Please, forgive my spelling and concordance mistakes. English noob here.

Dark Side Of The Moon

I wonder if OBC will get a vote though.

of course it will....  I really like the album.. many do..it is a really good album. And some contrary sort who overdosed on the other two albums, and can't listen to or stand anymore, will vote for it.

I love OBC,  but can't vote against DSOTM.

my personal favorite, The Dark Side of the Moon. WYWH of course is also a masterpiece, second behind Dark Side as my favorite actually.

I od' on the albums many years ago.. and probably haven't listened to them in ..who knows...a decade, but they are so ingrained in the sub-conscious one can hear the albums without listening to them.

Seriously though..  Dark Side does live up to the accolades so I had to vote for that. It is a timeless classic.

DSotM is Floyd's greatest achievement, and both figuratively and literally is followed by WYWH.

...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

This is a tough one since I love all 3 albums, but in the end the vote has to go to WYWH because I love the extended instrumental passages and DSotM suffers from overplaying, though from no fault of it's own, it's still a masterpiece.  OBC is also great but the tracks could be developed a little more, but that is also a minor complaint.
